Free crafts and lunches
The holiday lunch network in Cambridge provides free lunches and activities for families of nursery and school-aged children in the school holidays.

Family fun day - Fitzwilliam Museum - 29th, 10:30 - 15:30
We’re launching Family Day: a specially curated artist-led event for families to explore, relax, and have fun together exploring our collections. Join us and artist Kate Munro to discover Tau o Mai | Journeys with Mai and learn about Mai’s incredible life and legacy
Family Film Festival - Arts Picture House - 25th - 1st, 11am
The FAMILY FILM FESTIVAL is back this autumn half term with a blast, showing seven free family‑friendly films! This year's selection celebrates the joys and challenges of growing up and the universal experience of discovering who you are. From 1970s Indiana to northern New Zealand to Halloween Town, our protagonists embark on adventures that help them find their place in the world.
Come and Cook - City Church Cambridge - 30th, 10:30 - 12:45
Our holiday lunches provide a free lunch and activities aimed at pre-school and primary aged children in our local area. Older children in families are also welcome.
We will prepare food for a hot vegetarian meal, then enjoy it together. The food preparation will be suitable for children, and there will be toys and craft activities for those who would prefer to do something else.
October Half Term at the Museum of Cambridge - All half term - 11:00 - 15:00
There’s both tricks and treats at the Museum of Cambridge this Half Term, with corn dolly crafting and a witch bottle trail.
Have a go at making your own straw creation at FREE drop-in crafts this October Half Term.
🌾 Corn Dolly Crazy
📍 Make a harvest token to give to a loved one, or somewhere for the spirits to live through the winter. This craft is steeped in history, and accessible to all children 7+.
